The Problem

Current soft tissue repair solutions have significant limitations, leaving patients and surgeons without optimal options.

30-40%

High Shoulder Re-Tear Rates

Rotator cuff repairs fail at alarming rates, even with modern surgical techniques, leaving patients in need of revision surgery.

Zero

Limited Knee Options

No widely available meniscus regeneration scaffold on the market, despite over 1 million US meniscus surgeries performed annually.

Gap

No Injectable Scaffold

No FDA-cleared injectable collagen scaffold for structural tendon and ligament repair currently exists.

The CollaFormis Platform

One material. One manufacturing line. Multiple form factors. Our Collagen Trellis technology enables versatile solutions across orthopedic applications.

Platform Technology

Collagen Trellis

Our proprietary collagen scaffold platform provides the structural foundation for tissue regeneration. The same core technology can be configured into different form factors to address multiple clinical needs.

  • Highly purified bovine Type I collagen
  • High suture pullout strength (≥25 lbs / 110 N)
  • Terminal sterilization (e-beam or gamma)
  • Ambient storage with 2-year shelf life
  • Arthroscopic delivery, trimmable to defect

Collagen Trellis Technology

Our Products

Three form factors designed for specific clinical applications, all built on the same proven Collagen Trellis platform.

Lead Product

Trellis Patch

Flat scaffold designed for rotator cuff augmentation in shoulder surgery.

  • Large/massive tear augmentation
  • Revision reinforcement
  • Superior capsular reconstruction (SCR)
  • ACL repair augmentation
Knee Application

Trellis C-Shape

Anatomically contoured scaffold designed for meniscus regeneration.

  • Partial meniscectomy defects
  • Meniscus tissue regeneration
  • Arthroscopic delivery
  • Trimmable to patient anatomy
Novel Delivery

Injectable Scaffold

Liquid-to-scaffold technology for minimally invasive tendon and ligament repair.

  • Partial tendon tears
  • Tendinopathy treatment
  • In-office or OR delivery
  • Structural scaffold formation

Injectable Technology

How a liquid becomes a structural scaffold inside the body.

1

Injection

Liquid collagen and hydrogel components are loaded in a dual-barrel syringe. Components remain liquid and separate until they meet at the mixing nozzle tip during arthroscopic or office-based delivery.

2

Phase Transition

Upon mixing, the material undergoes a phase transition from liquid to gel. The injectable infiltrates the tear site and begins forming a structural matrix that conforms to the tissue defect.

3

Scaffold Formation

The collagen scaffold provides structural support and a matrix for tissue regeneration. Unlike symptom-modifying injectables, this approach treats the underlying condition by enabling tissue healing.

Disease-Modifying vs. Symptom-Modifying

Current Options (Symptom-Modifying)

  • Cortisone: Reduces inflammation temporarily, masks pain
  • PRP: Growth factors with variable efficacy, no structural support
  • Hyaluronic Acid: Lubrication only, temporary relief

CollaFormis (Disease-Modifying)

  • Treats the disease, not just the symptoms
  • Structural scaffold promotes tissue regeneration
  • Can be delivered in office or OR setting
